| bio: "Hi, my name is Antonio. I'm originally from Spain and currently work full-time as software engineer using Scala in Switzerland. I've been using Scala for 5 years, ever since discovering the language during a functional programming course at EPFL. I participated in Google Summer of Code as a student, working on Cats Effect's new I/O integrated runtime leveraging io_uring. Today, I remain actively involved in the project as a co-mentor." | ||

@antoniojimeneznieto feel free to add/edit, I just grabbed this from your Scala Days bio :)

I also opened #607 to improve the rendering of our author bios at the bottom. |

TSoC as an acronym is never really introduced and not something we use on the other blog posts / pages. I don't know that we need this acronym.

Thanks, it's a good point. Jay's project was unfortunately not an official GSoC project, but it was essentially a "Typelevel Summer of Code" project, so I was trying to find a way to acknowledge that.
Every year we usually have some strong contributions outside of the official program. Sadly, I historically left them out of this blog post, because I have a vague recollection that Google required it as a kind of "official report" 🤔 but in any case, I would like to change that practice, and find a way to acknowledge these projects and their mentors.
Let met take a second pass at that.
Announces our participation in GSoC 2026 and points to our onboarding resources.
And also recaps our 2025 projects :) Well done @pantShrey @rahulrangers @Jay-Lokhande!
